I am sharing folders with an employee. Some show up in file manager with a blue cloud and others show up with a blue cloud and outline of a blue person. Why?

I am a bit late updating this thread, however this is generally the crux of our issue. We redid the sharing and adding to the individual's shared with me folder step. This fixed the problems we were experiencing.
This sounds like a local view on windows, some of the files are syncing on the fly (empty cloud) and some and set to always sync locally (full cloud).
On a mac it's similar but you get empty cloud and a green circle with a tick box.
I was actually unable to find a good manual for that.
Actually person icon doesn't show at all for me.
But I'm assuming this is a doc ownership side of things. Are you able to have a check that?
