Syncing to custom attribute in G Workspace from Entra ID

I've got a custom attribute called Site in Google Workspace and have dynamic groups linked to this custom attribute. The schema details are below:

The custom attribute through GAM can be updated via Site.Site (e.g. gam update user (PII Removed by Staff) Site.Site Test 

We use Entra ID as our authentication layer for all of our SaaS tools and i've setup provisioning from this to Google Workspace and it is working as expected and updating job titles etc. 

I would also like to setup provisioning to the custom attribute but it doesn't seem to update the field nor generate any logs around it. As Site isn't a field in Entra ID, i've mapped it to the CIty field like below:

I've also tried the below combinations:

• Site
• customSchemas.Site
• customSchemas.Site.Site

I've searched high and low for an answer and even reached out to Support who weren't able to confirm nor deny whether this was possible and instead asked me to reach out to Microsoft.

How are you syncing from Entra to Workspace? Are you using Google Cloud Directory Sync (GCDS)? If so, Google should be able to provide support for it (though you will likely have to be politely insistent to get past the tier 1 know-nothings—just don’t let them close the ticket on you/keep reopening it until they escalate it). If instead you’re using a capability that’s native to Entra, then it’d be Microsoft support you’d need to be talking to (and I imagine they have exactly the same tier 1 issues…)
