Time tracker

Hello,

I am interested to develop a simple time tracker tool for monitoring a product usage using google workspace.

My idea is to do that in the google calendar itself. The new calendar will be shared to the team member and they must be able to block the slot for the planned date and when the planned date & time has come, they must be able to start/stop the timer to log the actual hours.

At the end, I must to be able to transfer the blocked slots & actual time log to an google sheet for analysis.

@Vigneshgoogle yes you can develop this but it's already available as a third-party app via Toggl Track

I've been using it as an individual (not as part of a team - therefore free or charge) for 5 years and it's fantastic.  If I did need to use it as part of a tema I would pay for it, it's that good.

I am a developer and could develop this myself using Google Workspace/Calendar as the backend, but (for me)  it's not worth investing the time to generate it when I can use Toggle Track free of charge and it covers 100% of my needs (and similar what you described - it does not record in Google Calendar, however, although you can see your Google Calendars in Toggl).

@StephenHind Thank you the reply. Since my applicable is very simple I did not choose the third-part tool. Also the complete team is comfortable with Google workspace and using a solution within or with the Google workspace will be easily received by all.

Maybe try out Appsheet which is Google tool for no code or low code development, it integrates into all Google services and can use Google sheets as a data set.
