Hello Google Workspace Community,
I'm hoping to get some assistance with a persistent issue I'm facing while trying to recover my Google Workspace account. I've been a big fan of Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) and really want to regain access to my account.
I've tried the standard account recovery process through the Google sign-in page. However, after entering my email address, I seem to get caught in an endless sign-in loop. I also realize now that I likely mistyped or incorrectly set up my recovery email address, as I'm not receiving any recovery emails to my personal inbox, and other recovery methods aren't working. I've also tried using the "Google Toolbox," but that too redirects me back to the same sign-in loop.
It feels like I'm unable to provide enough verifiable information to Google's automated system due to the incorrect recovery email. I don't have access to an administrator, as I was the creator and sole user of this particular Workspace account.
Has anyone encountered a similar situation, especially with a mistyped recovery email leading to a sign-in loop? What steps did you take to successfully recover your account? Any advice or alternative methods to break out of this loop and prove my identity would be greatly appreciated.
Hi @spiderab ,
Sorry to hear you're stuck in this frustrating loop โ itโs especially tough when youโre the sole admin of the Workspace account.
Hereโs what you can try:
Use the account recovery form carefully:
Go to https://accounts.google.com/signin/recovery and enter as much accurate historical info as you can (creation date, services used, old passwords). Avoid guessing โ wrong answers can reduce your chances.
Skip recovery email if incorrect:
If it shows the wrong recovery email, try choosing โTry another wayโ when available. It may let you verify via other signals (like device, location, or usage pattern).
Use the Admin recovery form for Workspace (if recovery form fails):
Go to https://support.google.com/a/contact/recovery_form
This is for Workspace administrators โ even if you're a one-person org, this applies to you.
No access at all? Try Workspace Support (if billing is active):
If you have a paid Workspace plan (even trial), you may be able to contact Google support directly here:

If none of this works and no recovery options are available, unfortunately, Google will not restore access without verification โ especially for sole-admin accounts. In that case, you may need to create a new account and re-establish services manually.
