Using an alias to send a google calendar invite

Is there a way to send a google calendar invite using the secondary domain or alias?

No - despite the numerous requests in Feature Ideas, it is on their list of "Not Planned".

Super sad, this link doesn't even work, as now apparently paying customers aren't allowed to look at feature requeststs?   #crazy.

We've been asking (many times) for this feature since at least 2009, and had (independent) conversations with google engineers about this specifically and been informed that IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN.

The core calendar product is no longer under active feature development and the only effort put into calendar is to  freeze out calendy on the gmail side and work on unseen dark pattern features as no longer being bound to "dont be evil" this is the only form of active product development google finds interesting now.

Sorry to be a negative nelly, but this has been a persistent perceptual problem for our company.
