This is simple but at the same time, seems baffling: I have several personal calendars under my Gmail account, and that is where I manage my appointments. I don't want to share every calendar with my work account, let alone allowing my work account to manage my personal calendars, just so I'm able to re-share that with my coworkers as "see only free/busy".
Thus, I'm first asking if there's any better idea, before making a suggestion to the void: is there a way to simply say "this is my personal account; use it as well for my availability with my coworkers"?
No, there is no simple way of doing it, you have to jump through a couple of hoops. While I do understand your use case, fundamentally business and personal use cases should be kept logically separated for a variety of reasons (company policy, auditing, security, compliance, etc)
