I am facing a really silly unreasonable situtation.
I pay Google ONE to have access to latest pro- advanced versions of Gemini under my Google account that is linked to my Workspace account.
In human world the two are the same person and Workspace admin is aware of that and yet when I want to use Gemini under my Admin identity, I am asked to upgrade and pay for the privilage of accessing the advanced version again.
How many times is one person expected to pay for the same service, just because the mail address is different but linked. It is the same person with the same DNA and bank account.
Hello, I have already paid. I am just wearing a differnt shirt color. Stop being silly.
I have been through the jungle of links on Google. It is just so obvious. Gemini recommended to ask help desk but I thought this is such premitive idea that there must be a solution it the set-up that I am not seeing.
If there a way to forward this to the help desk, if no one has an answer to it which is just so incredible that makes be laugh at its abusurdity given that we are at the dawn of AGI.
Babak,
You can only use one Google account type at a time. You can't mix them. For example, I do not expect to have Meet recording abilities in my personal account, even though I do have a Workspace account that does have them.
@Babak Google One isn't available for Google Workspace, sorry, so it's not possible to get the same offerings in Google One for Workspace (you need to buy other Workspace additions instead, e.g. the Gemini Enterprise/Business licences if you want that in Workspace, or Google Workspace Additional Storage is you need extra space).
The short answer is that Google Workspace and consumer gmail accounts serve different purposes and are thus built with different user journeys (and therefore different features and functionality) in mind. One is for business purposes, the other is for personal use.
