Will the New Integrated View for Gmail deploy without the Google Chat Upgrade?

Hi,

Google have just announced New integrated view for Gmail features email, Google Meet, Google Chat and Spaces in one place. The 'current' image is the view of people who have Upgraded to Google Chat.

For institutions who haven't had the mandatory upgrad in Phase 5 of the  Google Chat upgrade timeline deployed:

• is this change dependent on the Phase 5 implementation?
• will communications about the change be restricted to institutions that have been upgraded to Google Chat to avoid confusion?
• is there a timeline available for when Phase 5 enforcement will be implemented?
• for institutions who have Phase 5 implemented after the Integrated View goes live, will they go directly into the integrated view, or will a secondary conversion process be required?
