We have a CRM program that will create appointments by sending them to the default calendar program in Windows. Windows won't let calendar events to go to Chrome like mailto: does for email. I cannot get my Google Workspace account to sync with the Microsoft Mail and Calendar app. So I can't figure out how to get this to work. Does anyone know the trick to get Microsoft Calendar syncing (personal gmail works) or have another solution?
You have several options to sync a calendar with Workspace:
- Use the latest version of Outlook (that support OAuth for Google accounts) and add your Google Workspace account
- Use Thunderbird with the calendar addon
- Use an older version of Outlook and install GWSMO
- Use an automation tool, such as Microsoft Flow/Power Automate or Zapier or similar
So you're saying that the Windows Calendar program that's pre-loaded on Windows 10 computers is blocked by Workspace?
