I work for an MSP. One of our clients utilizes Google Workspace for collaboration when working remotely.
One user in particular is having some strange issues with Google Workspace in which it works fine at first but after some time (10-15 minutes) any tabs associated with Google Workspace will crash, no matter what web browser he is using. We have tried Chrome, Edge, and Firefox so far.
We were able to get him working for about a week by clearing the browser cache, OS cache, and temporary files (utilized CCleaner). After that week he had the same issue pop up again. It did not get fixed by attempting the same things.
I have since disabled Hardware Acceleration in Chrome, installed the 32-bit version of the Chrome browser, added the -no-sandbox flag on boot of Chrome, and disabled all extensions. Still no change.
This issue only exists on his work laptop (HP Spectre x360 Convertible). His personal desktop works just fine.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Given that it's a work laptop, is re-imaging the laptop with the standard corporate software image an option in his case? Might be easier than trying to track down the exact gremlin.
icrew,
Under normal circumstances I would consider it, however this is a brand new machine (image was created from this computer less than two months ago).
