Workspace makes it so difficult

why the paid google workspace makes it so much more difficult to use than the free gmail. I hate this.

Regret getting this, should of keep my personal email instead.

1.  can't access youtube until you paid $30 or more and been using it for 30 days!  Why????  I paid $219 for the whole year! and I can't use youtube?  Better off personal gmail and not pay anything. 

2.  Want to buy more storage and all they offer is 5TB???  where is the 2 TB??? 

3.  Can't  share drive files to outside of my team?  I am the admin and I have no restriction 

As a business owner the reason why we purchase workspace is to help our business to grow faster, not slow it down!

I joined over the summer and that Youtube issue was a HUGE annoyance. Especially when trying to learn about how to use the system and couldn't even watch a short video on youtube. I had to prepay my plan so I paid enough to meet their threshold. I understand why they would limit access to creating new content, but it's outrageous that they limit even viewing youtube content. 

Not sure about some of your other issues...but the sharing drive files outside of team isn't an issue for me. I've been able to share files and folders with anyone I wanted to without any problem. I wonder if there's a setting in your admin panel?

It sounds like you've experienced some frustrating restrictions! Having limited YouTube access, especially when you're actively trying to learn and get up to speed with a new system, must have been challenging. I agree—while content creation limitations can be understandable, restricting viewing basic resources seems excessive.

For the external sharing aspect, it’s interesting that your settings allow for smooth sharing outside your team. As the sole admin of my Google Workspace domain, I haven’t encountered significant sharing restrictions, but it’s reassuring to know you’ve had a seamless experience too.
