STUCK !!!

Your organization's Google Workspace account has been suspended.
Please contact your Google Workspace Organization Administrator to re-activate your organization.

My company stopped just like that. We have no idea on the super admin password. Tried the entire day multiple options, but no avail. Logged a ticket with workspace. They asked me to prove ownership of my domain. I got the info from my domain registrar and passed to workspace support.

6 hours and counting. Absolutely no response from workspace team so far.

Terrible that only super admin can make payments to revoke the suspension. As long as they get the money, i wonder why they care who made the payment.

RANSOMWARE at its best. Organized by google.

Any suggestions or directions to get me out of the mess i am in now is highly appreciated

After proving ownership of my domain, I was promised access and an administrator in 72 hours.  That time has passed and yet no access.  Below is what I get when I try to log on the Admin Console:

Sign in with an administrator account
To sign in to admin.google.com, use an administrator account for a managed Google service, such as Google Workspace or Cloud Identity. Learn more about Google accounts

When I choose and account and enter password, I get nowhere.  No "failed attempt" message.  Nothing but the same page over and over again.  This is very frustrating.

Do we have a phone number for this sales rep?

UPDATE!!!!!

Success!!! After waiting more than 72 hours, I was assigned as the Super Administrator and given access to billing.  I've updated billing and my email accounts for my domain are back except I'm missing emails from the past week.  In short, you will have to prove your ownership of the domain per the link below.  Go to your domain host and set up the DNS that google requests.  Try several times until google confirms with your domain host and get confirmation from google regarding your Super Admit change request by email.  They contacted my on my personal gmail account.  Hopefully after 72 yours, your account will be re-instated minus the emails from your suspended period.  I had over 10 years of emails left, so I'm very glad I retrieved them.  Please post any questions.  I will be checking this thread for a few more days.  Good luck!

Just 72 hours? I filled out the form on Wednesday AM, have been chatting with Google Support every day to get status.  Here I am the next Monday and still not working. Even though Google has said the Super-Admin promotion is complete. Pretty frustrating but with years of emails nothing I can do until I am logged back in.

Getting on Google Support Chat requires you have a "paid" account, which I have a second one that is.  Without that I would be in the dark completely. They requirement to have an email within the domain which is suspended to promote and they say they will inform you at that email address.  But it is suspended so I will never see it in time.

As others have said refreshing it a couple of times a day is about the only thing you can do.

Hi everyone! I've been struggling with this for my work email as well...

We got in touch with a couple of people at Google (after 30+ minutes of waiting every time) - apparently if you had a free Google Workspace account before, your account was suspended because of a change in policy to paid workspace subscriptions only. One of the people we spoke to said they most likely only sent a notice to the admin account, and since we don't have access to that account, we had no idea this was even happening. Also, whoever has the admin account also should've received a 4-digit pin number upon creating the google workspace accounts, so if you're able to track that down, that can be helpful on your end if you try getting in touch with any support numbers.

So far we've verified our domain and submitted the form for account recovery and have tried to get in touch with the guy who has the admin account. We're currently on the line with the number we were given for Google Workspace support (if you want to try your luck, it is 844-425-2001, but we've been on the line for over an hour so bear that in mind). At this point I think all we can do is wait for our account to be promoted, but if anyone has any suggestions to maybe speed up the process, let me know!

I wish I had the phone number.  I only dealt with email bots and got the problem solved.  You basically have to wait 72 hours after you verify ownership of the domain, which it sounds like you already did.  I almost gave up and was about to go with another services.  Luckily I waited and was able to retrieve my old emails, though I got no emails from the period I was suspended.  Hang in there!

Honestly, the phone number didn't even help haha. Finally got to someone after more than 3 hours and whoever was on the other end gave my coworker a bunch of attitude. Thankfully I was able to reach the guy who had the admin account so everything is thankfully back to normal for me. Wishing the best for everyone else on the forum though!

So its only ever been me and no one else on my workspace... now all a sudden I'm suspended and lost everything. and on top of that, It's telling me I'm not the super admin of my own domain. I have verified via the CNAME stuff and still nothing. I called the number and they cannot help me because I'm not an admin???

Hi there,

The same thing is happening to me.  I can't even create a case, the notification I get says I don't have permission to do so.  I spoke with someone yesterday and she seemed confident I would gain access to my account again and put me through to tech support.  I waited on the line for 3 hours and then was cut off.  I'm on hold again now and have been on hold for 3 hours and counting.  I tried to verify my account by entering the dns codes into my domain but google are saying they can't find the records.  I'm not sure what else to do at this point.  Any tips?

There are a couple of links above to verify your ownership of the domain through a DNS and then you should be able to change the administrator after a 72 hour waiting period.  I know it's frustrating not being able to talk to anyone and given links by a bot but I can tell you that this worked for me.  I'm still very upset that Google treats small business owners this way when they have a manned "sales" call center.

The DNS process is very glitchy.  It will search for it for 5 minutes and then expire.  You can keep clicking to try again until it works.

Also, I used the TXT option for the DNS.

I'm in the same boat with the Google recovery form saying it can't find the DNS records.

The nonprofit I volunteer has our web hosting with one company (which we can access) and domain registration with another (which we're locked out of). I've tried creating the CNAME records with the web host, but after some more reading today, I'm thinking maybe we need to create the records with the domain registrar (which is probably also our domain host.) Maybe you're in the same situation.

Web host vs. domain host vs. domain registrar

How to find my domain host

All, Really just hang in there! It was 7 days for us to get our Domain Back. I spoke/Chat/Meet with Google Support every day after the 72 hour period for Admin Promotion. I got lots of status and lost of confusing information but finally today 7-days 11 hours later I have my domain/email/calendar back and running.

I had to wait and be patience but it finally came together. During all that time I researched how to protect your account from this type of stuff in the future.  Once you get back on-line take the hour to protect yourself.  There are lots of good references both from Google and other Blogs about steps.  Just take care of it in the end and don't put it off anymore!

Hang in there and good luck,

Hi Tom.

I finally was able to verify that I own my domain so that seems like a step in the right direction.  Once Google were able to verify that they said they would send me an update via email within 1 business day.  Only problem is I'm locked out of my account and can't receive emails.  I tried to end my Recovery account on the recovery page but it wouldn't let me as it's a hotmail account.  Did you have to communicate via email with google to restore your account or did it just restore on it's own without having to communicate via email?

Thanks!

Yup, I got that notice to -- never saw an email.  Just every day tried accessing "admin.google.com" until it worked.  Seems you already have an alternate email to use for folks that say it bounced so it is just a waiting game now.
