merge two separated google workspace domains

Hi,

We have two separate google workspace that we would like to migrate

- add one of the two as a secondary domain

- migrate all datas (mail, calendar, documents -> for this matter is there any other way than to download all files, mails etc? is there a google tool or someone who can manually do that for us (we'd be ok to pay)

Check out https://support.google.com/a/topic/10308467?hl=en

Hope that helps,

Ian

yes thanks google support gave me the same answer, I got in touch with the sales to know if we are eligible, appareantly it is not available for everyone (we have around 120users combined)

Helo @florianG , you can get more detail about the operation here: https://support.google.com/a/answer/4417332 ,  and we have indeed partners who can help you to run this migration. Depending your location, you can find a list of partners here: https://cloud.google.com/find-a-partner/?products=Google%20Workspace

@NicoGa : That first link appears to be broken--it just takes me to the main support.google.com page. Perhaps it's a not-yet-public article or something?

Cheers,

Ian

My bad, I fixed it, should be ok now

I think that article is talking about something very different--using the Data Export Tool to export and re-import your data in order to merge two domains. That has a bunch of downsides (for example, the fact that all your Docs/Sheets/Slides get converted to Word/Excel/Powerpoint). The Google Workspace Domain Transfer service I mentioned avoids all that sort of issue.

exactly and downloading from the other side of the planet (ne caledonia) then uploading is also not really eco-friendly ๐Ÿ˜‰ that's one of the reasons I was looking for a direct transfer. I'm waiting for sales reply to know if we are eligible for that tool. finger crossed

If you are, and if you end up using it, I'd love to hear how it goes--it sounds pretty neat, but I haven't seen any real-world reports about how well it works.

sure
