new emails not showing at the top

HI, when i have a bunch of emails in a thread, and i get a new one, why does it not show at the top? 

I have conversation view on, and it does not work ,  with conversation view on and the reverse conversation extension in use. happy to send screenshots to make anyone understand better

@KazAli it sounds like you're asking about a third-party extension, "reverse conversation".  Since that's not provided by Google, so I doubt you'll get much help here: have you tried asking in the developer or in a community they provide?

Be aware that, since these extensions are not provided by Google, if Google makes a change it can stop the extension from working overnight.  If the developer no longer wants to maintain the extension then it will stop working altogether.

Hi, so you can see the date in highlighted email is 12th Feb, but if you look below, the actual date on the latest email is 17th Feb

@KazAli as mentioned this is not a Google extension, and I'm not going to install a third-party extension to change how Gmail works, so you need to find a help forum for this specific extension, as this is a user-to-user forum for Google Workspace users, so I imagine there won't be many using it.

With Google integrating AI everywhere third-party extension developers will always be on the back foot as Google changes the interfaces.
