Agent Builder data store with Google Drive: the whole Drive!?

I have created a Search app in Agent Builder and would like to connect it to a specific Google Drive where useful files are stored. Apparently, when creating the data store, Agent Builder doesn't offer the possibility to choose a Drive and directly connects to the whole google drive space associated to my google account.

Does this mean whoever makes a search can access my personal files!?

Is it really possible there is no way to select a specific shared drive to only index the files one needs?

Who knows why they made this choice?

You're welcome, @GiaZ.

In response to your question, they can only access the drive you have in common. You may also check this documentation about data access control which limits the data that users can view in your search app's results.

Hi @GiaZ,

I understand that it would be great if Google Drive storage does not include the whole drive for security concerns. There is a feature request filed to support the possibility of choosing a specific path or folder in Google Drive which you can check here. Please note that I can't provide any details or timelines as to when this will be implemented. However, you may keep an eye on the release notes for any latest updates or new features related to Vertex AI.

Hope this helps.

Thanks @cassandramae . So if I must connect the whole drive to the agent, the question is: whoever makes a search with the agent can access my personal files now!? Or can they only access the drives that we have in common?

Thanks

Hi. I want to know how service costs are calculated. The entire company Drive stores over 14 TB of data, so if the Agent Builder does not allow me to select a specific folder, what will the cost be if I connect to the entire Drive?
