Cloud Video Intelligence API Still Relevant?

Hi, it seems like there's a big push towards Vertex as the future of Google's AI platform. This said, the cloud video intelligence API provides the functionality that I need for my project. Is it a bad idea to start a new project building on this platform? Are there any plans to sunset the service in the foreseeable future? I'm building a business around the app I'm creating, so it's important to know that Google will continue to invest in this service.

Google's product offerings and strategies can evolve over time, and they may introduce new services or deprecate existing ones based on various factors, including market demand, technological advancements, and internal priorities. While it's difficult to predict the future of any specific service, Google generally provides advance notice if they plan to sunset a product or service.

Regarding the Cloud Video Intelligence API, it was still an active service provided by Google. However, it's always a good idea to consult official Google documentation, reach out to Google Cloud support, or engage with the Google Cloud community to get the most up-to-date information on the service's roadmap and future plans.

When starting a new project and building a business around a particular service or platform, it's important to consider factors such as the service's stability, roadmap, customer demand, and the level of support and investment provided by the service provider. Conducting thorough research, staying informed about updates and announcements, and evaluating alternatives can help you make a well-informed decision for your project's long-term success.

It's worth noting that Vertex AI is an end-to-end AI platform that includes a wide range of AI-related services, and it is possible that Google may recommend or prioritize the use of Vertex AI for new projects. However, this doesn't necessarily mean that existing services like the Cloud Video Intelligence API will be deprecated in the near future.

To obtain the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding the future of the Cloud Video Intelligence API or any other Google service, I recommend reaching out to Google directly or referring to their official documentation and announcements.

Was hoping to hear from someone with actual insight into this, not an AI model's response...
