Commercial usage of Vertex AI's language models, specifically the chat-bison model

I wanted to implement the chat-bison model for commercial use for an application. Does anyone know if there's any limitations? Is it allowed? So far I haven't found anything that states the contrary.

In line with the Google Cloud Platform Terms of Service, only the end users are clearly prohibited to sell, resell, sublicense, transfer, or distribute any or all of the Services. There is no clear stipulation that you as a customer are restricted to earn some form of income from your projects.

Ideally you can use the service commercially provided that: (a) you must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those governing the collection, use, and transfer of personal data; (b) you must not use the Services to create or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable; and (c) you must not use the Services in a way that interferes with or disrupts the Services for others.

I strongly recommend that you contact Google Cloud Sales or Vertex AI Support teams to discuss your specific needs in using the chat-bison model for commercial purposes.
