Document AI fails to uptrain processor with "internal error"

Using the Doc AI console, I immediately get the error:

Failed to train processor version

Internal error encountered.

I have been able to uptrain processors before. I don't see anything relevant in the logs and no mention of this condition in troubleshooting. Is this just a bug? Is there any way I can adjust my data set so it will work?
