HITL alternative? (Human in the Loop)

Situation: HITL appears to be deprecated.

Question: Is there a GCP that will allow our internal user (that has our GCP credentials) to verify and correct data extracted by our Document AI processors, and manually correct extracted data, BEFORE it's used in critical business applications?

Reason: HITL aims to improve the accuracy of machine learning models by incorporating human feedback into the training process. I'm worried that we don't have this anymore.

Hi @GS_23,

Welcome to Google Cloud Community!

You're right to be concerned about the deprecation of HITL and the need to maintain data accuracy in Document AI. While the "HITL" service itself may be deprecated, the concept of human-in-the-loop review and correction remains crucial for production-grade Document AI pipelines.

Based on the Google cloud documentation, it states that:

Document AI Human-in-the-Loop is deprecated and will no longer be available on Google Cloud after January 16, 2025. New customers are not allowlisted. If you want to use (HITL) but don't see the option available, contact your Google Account team. To implement a human review and correction solution that meets your requirements, we recommend working with a Google Cloud certified partner like Devoteam, Searce, or Quantiphi.

Frankly, I'm not sure you answered the question. We're looking for solutions to implement HITL and we don't want to hire a Google Cloud certified partner. We want to built it ourselves. Has anyone done a HITL integration?

Not much information is available on how to use Devoteam, Searce, or Quantiphi. How can one implement HILT?
