I created a structured data store for my app but the schema has changed since I created it.
I cannot update the schema to the current schema as some columns have been replaced by others.
Therefore I want to remove the data store and replace it with a new one but I don't see where I can unlink the data store from my app. This is a prerequisite to delete the datastore.
Tx!

which type of app is this one? search or conversational?
You will need to delete the app as it is specified here: https://cloud.google.com/generative-ai-app-builder/docs/delete-a-data-store

Hi,
you have to first, delete all the documents in the data store. Then, unlink the data store from the app and finally remove the datastore and the app
Thanks @xavidop. If I look at my data store from the app there are no documents inside. (I normally deleted them already).
Could you point me to the screen where I can unlink it?
It should be something like this:
Thanks. I'm familiar with that screen. I can click through to my 2 data stores from there. I may be missing something but I don't see how to unlink the data store from there. Sorry...

OK, thanks for the link. To unlink it you need to delete the app...
I was hoping you could unlink the data store, keep the app, and delete the data store. I don't want to delete the app.
I guess I will just need to create a new data store and keep the old one but leave it empty.
yeah, I would recommend that and also delete the old bucket if you are using GCS to create the data store
Thanks for the suggestion. I was planning on reusing the same bucket. Why would it be better to create another bucket?
If you are gonna re-use it is all good then!
