Vertex AI Search is always returning all the records in the datastore

We've noticed a recent change in the behavior of Vertex AI Search & Conversation. Previously, when we made a query, it would return only the relevant results from the data store. However, now it retrieves the entire datastore and sort it based on relevance.

We're wondering if this is a known bug or an intended change in Vertex Search functionality. Ideally, we'd like to revert to the previous behavior where only the relevant results were displayed.

Would appreciate any advice on how we can achieve the desired outcome.

If you are using a Structured datastore in your Vertex AI Search & Conversation, there is a feature request that is already in place to provide more control over the search result filtering with regard to the relevance.
