Looker Crashes Chrome When Editing Drop-Down Filters

Hello,

Users in my org are experiencing an issue in Chrome when editing text-based dropdown filters in an Explore.

Every time they adjust a filter, Chrome immediately crashes and displays error code 5. This is happening for both macOS and PC users. Perhaps that this release note might be related:

"An issue has been fixed where an invalid conditional formatting string could cause the Explore page to crash. This feature now performs as expected."

I'm currently on version 25.0.23 and found a Reddit thread  where others are experiencing the same issue.

Has anyone else encountered this? Any guidance or potential fixes would be greatly appreciated!

This + Looks. It seems to affect Chromium browsers, starting around a week ago.

A temporary workaround is using another browser, such as Safai.

I can confirm we've got a Chrome user at our org getting this exact error. It is still happening this AM as well.

We encountered this problem as well.

There is a bug report for this in the Chromium issue tracker.

Replying just to keep this thread bumped that we have users having the same issue.

This got fixed for us when we patched in 25.0.35

same as above, replying to bump this thread, this is hampering our org's analysts to carry on with their daily duties

Use Chrome Beta version 134.0.6998.35

I had been facing this issue for the past three days. Last night, I tried using the latest Beta version, and it worked
