Persist Assets in Browser Cache

Hi,

Recently, when I enable persist_assets_in_browser_cache for our instance, the old tabs that the Looker users forgot in their browsers have been started to run immediately when they switch that old tabs.

I checked their browser and they are allowing cache. Can you help me on this?

I believe the sleeping tabs should trigger a refresh if you switch to them and the cache is out of date - the setting for 'persist assets' should have no impact there. Have you tried running a direct test to see how tabs with dashboards behave with the setting on and off?

What do you need help with? Has the behaviour of Looker in those tabs changed since you enabled the 'persist assets' option?

Yes, when I enable it, the sleeping tabs have been triggering runs when the user switches them back.

I think the caches are out of date
