AI-assisted app creation updates! (Inline table editing, upgraded model & expanded availability)

Earlier this year, AppSheet introduced AI-assisted app creation with Gemini as an intuitive option for helping automatically create app data structure based on a description of an app.

This month, some exciting related updates are added:

  • The AI model has been upgraded for more relevant app results 🧠
  • Gemini for app creation is now available to all Google Workspace customers with AppSheet Core 🎉
  • Gemini-proposed app data tables can now be easily customized inline ✏️
What is inline Gemini table editing?

Creating an app with Gemini in AppSheet is the easiest way to quickly generate the data table structure of a new app. Using natural descriptions of the intended app requirements, Gemini helps draft the data tables that are relevant for supporting the app use case features (this is traditionally a time-consuming step to do manually).

With this recent update, data tables proposed by Gemini can be quickly refined, making it even easier to create a good data table structure for an app. Users can now add or remove tables and columns, change names, change column types and establish relationships between tables, all before the AppSheet database and  app prototype are generated, making it easier once in the AppSheet editor to quickly customize the app with UI and automations.

When will it be available?

Thats a good use of 'Human in the loop'

Hello,

I have a question about the recent announcement stating 「The AI model has been upgraded for more relevant app results.」

To my knowledge, the specific AI model used in the previous version of Gemini in AppSheet was not publicly disclosed.

Could you please share what models were used in the previous Gemini and what model is being utilized in the upgraded version?

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Sincerely,

Wow interesting for my next project

Thanks
