We have placed a new list of IP addresses in reserve. These IP addresses are not yet serving traffic. We will make a new announcement before we place them into service, which will be no sooner than 90 days from the date of this announcement.
We recommend updating your firewall or network security group rules with these addresses. The new addresses are as follows:
AppSheet IP addresses (all regions):
If you use a Google Cloud SQL instance you're wanting a faster way to make these updates to the lists:
Hi @lizlynch
Seems like there are a few new IP addresses coming from Appsheet bots. But these IPs (for example; 34.127.9.214, 34.45.26.205) are not listed in https://support.google.com/appsheet/answer/10104492. It's causing a lot problems because we haven't whitelisted them, because we're not aware that there are new IPs, and webhooks are randomly dropped by our firewall.
@sak - Let me check on this and get back to you! Thank you for reporting!
@sak - This is likely due to your use of webhooks in automation. I updated the Manage IP addresses and firewall information article so that the note about dynamic IP addresses in webhook calls is more prominent! Hope this helps! Let us know if you think this is unrelated to your use of webhooks.
Sorry for disturbing, but due to my poorness in English, I really dont understand what you mean in your reply as well as new comments in documentation.....
Do you mean all the appsheet users regardless of license or AppSheet Enterprise users need to take actions to avoid any disruption when we use Webhook task in Automation?
@Koichi_Tsuji - No worries and apologies for not being clear!
If you have a firewall set up to restrict access to only specific IP addresses, then you'll need to contact AppSheet Support to request static IP addresses for use with your webhooks (so you can update your firewall). Otherwise, no action is required and you can use the dynamic IP addresses. Hope that helps!
@lizlynch
I'm looking to whitelist a range of IP addresses for webhooks bound to an automation bot. I'm on AppSheet's Core plan and moving to the Enterprise plan is not an option. So far I've found the following document which lists several IP address ranges used by Google's Cloud services :
https://www.gstatic.com/ipranges/cloud.json
These ranges appear to coincide with the IP addresses used by AppSheet's automation bot webhooks. Would whitelisting the IP ranges from the link above serve as a comprehensive catch-all for the dynamic ranges used by AppSheet webhooks from non-enterprise accounts?
@TheAddonDepot allowlisting those IP addresses may work, but per the documentation, we only provide static IP addresses for Enterprise plans.
