During the Apigee Component Backup, the backup command stops the component & Edge gateway cannot process transactions during the backup window.
However the complete Virtual Machine backup doesn't require any shutdowns & hence doesn't impact processing of transactions.
I would like to know which approach is recommended by Apigee with minimum impact on transaction processing.
Also how difficult is to restore the components from a VM Backup?
