Enabling Monetization

We've built an amazing API.... now we'd like to charge for access to it.

I'm seeing for the last year that we've been using Apigee, that the Monetization module seems to be perpetually non-existent.

Searching this forum, it seems the last meaningful monetization discussion was 4 years ago.

How are others charging for access to their Apigee based API, or at least configuring Apigee to use a 3rd party billing solution for API consumption?
