How can we modify the TCP MTU size from a router back to a client?

Not applicable

We have some clients that are sending SSL Alerts which cause Edge (Private Cloud) to close the connection prematurely. Some articles on the network indicate that changing the MTU size will work around the problem. We need to know how to change the max MTU size on the Router, northbound to the client, to see if that will work around the problem.
