why ldap policy is available only in Apigee Edge for Private Cloud?

Can someone explain why the LDAP Policy is available only in Apigee Edge for Private Cloud?

What is the problem to make it available in SaaS solution either?

As per my understanding, ldap policy works on top of ldap resource which gets created in Apigee onprem using management api call.

There is no such option to create ldap resource in Saas.

If I am not wrong, the ldap connects via the openldap component which is only available in onprem.

I would suggest to use java callout or you can use Google IAM system in SaaS.
