Hi
I’ve got a really simple table with an enum column that I would like the user to be able to filter the current view on. It’s already possible using the default search capabilities, but it requires a lot of clicking to enable / change filters.
Would it be possible to do this with a fixed row of filter buttons in a dashboard view? I’ve tried the user slice demo (Slice based on user input) but it doesn’t really make sense with a sync operation on each click. Also the button bar becomes way too big for mobile.
So I guess my question is - is there an easy elegant one-click way of doing this? A really small view with a dropdown at the top of the dashboard would be great for example.
Actually the use-tabs comes incredibly close to what I wanted:
Why not? Are you not using background sync?
The user could just type the Enum option directly into the search bar, a little bit less clicking there. Otherwise it sounds like you’re seeing all of the available options.
Thanks. I’ll stick with the standard search.
About the sync option. I don’t think it will make a lot of sense to “normal” users that each click on a button somehow requires a background sync.
