Another issue with an action icon not showing up. Don't know if it's my Behavior logic or a bug. I asked this forum about a similar issue with an action icon for running multiple actions also not showing up.
I have the following Action:
The only thing I can think of is the View where I want the icon is not associated with the Table on which I am running the action. But, I've tried to change the condition to the View that is associated with the table, and it still doesn't show.
The action runs if I just have the Behavior condition = True, but the icon only shows on the individual records....I want it to show at the top of the View.
Actions of this type is a row level action and can only be shown at row level.
Hmmm...that's odd that it's an action for a set of rows (multiple), not an individual row, that it's not available to display on the slice where it is applied.
A set of rows on the Referenced Table, not the Source table.
Within this action you can, depending on the type of the referenced action, pass INPUT values which must come from individual rows, not from a list of rows. So this must be a row level action.
When I have the behavior of the action as TRUE, the icon does show up in each of the rows that are referenced in the action. But, If I click on the Action icon located in a single row, ALL of the referenced rows are updated....not just that one row where the icon is clicked.
This seems bizarre to me that the action affects multiple rows, but the icon can't be placed in a location that shows those rows.
The action is initiated from an individual row - therefore you see the icon on each row - in the source table (), which affects multiple referenced rows in the reference table.
