I did some testing on useability on a a quite high end phone (S8) and low end phone(Motorola G5+), and this is the result:
Chrome (Both phones):
Vertical animation: Smooth
Horisontal animation: Smooth (Low end phone laggy the first 3 seconds after reload)
Reloading time: ~10 seconds
Appsheet app (Both phones):
Vertical animation: Smooth
Horisontal animation: Choppy
Reloading time: ~15 seconds
Now Iโm really considering to launch the app to my colleagues as a link instead of the app. And show them how to add a shortcut to home screen instead.
What do you guys think? I appreciate any input.
Pros: Less confusion with the appsheet app. Better UX. Less waiting time.
Cons: Canโt hide the address bar. โAdd to Home screenโ link refreshes the app.
Interesting test. Now I want to test and see what the difference is for my app vs browser on a phone. Never thought to look at this.
Looking forward to hearing your results!
