Android apps are crashing for some, but Google is working on a fix

Uninstalling Android System WebView reportedly fixes things.

Hi all,
Seems like a fix for this issue was released about an hour ago.
If AppSheet is crashing consistently, please try the following:

1. Open the Play Store app on your device
2. Search for Android System WebView
3. Press the update button

There isn’t an update option there sadly

Which version do you see in the play store?

I can’t get it to update and it’s just drawing my battery

@Lynn Do you mean there is no update or you’re not able to download it?

@1111 Try clicking the App’s title, then “what’s new” and scroll to the bottom. The version number should be there.

I have updated chrome and all is good

@Lynn Looks like you already have the update with the fix. Does AppSheet keeps crashing?
If so, can you try updating Chrome as well?

It was still crashing so I updated chrome a d that got it going again. I still dont have android webview it is showing as disabled. I also updated my phone.

From the screenshots you sent it looks like you already have the Webview up to date.

@Lynn Seems like some devices use Chrome instead of Android System Webview, probably what’s why updating Chrome fixed the issue for you.
If everything is working now I wouldn’t worry about it.
