Appsheet - Dependent Dropdowns and referencing this column

Hi all,

I have an app in which i have a dependent dropdown set up, which filters values based on the input value of a previous column [Sample code]. The value that is filtered is a ref column [Project] using a "valid if" formula as per the appsheet instructions to get a dependent dropdown. This works well.

The issue i have is that when i reference the [Project] column in later columns, it won't seem to pull any of the values across. If i remove the "valid if" formula to remove the dependent dropdown format, it pulls the values through perfectly! 

Is there something i'm doing wrong, or is this just part of how appsheet works?

Dependent dropdown works only in the basic case. If you deviate from the basic case, they won't work, and you'll have to implement the logic yourself.
