Bug - Desktop Mode - Auto Re-Open Option - Child form from within a Parent form

I've noticed that when using Desktop mode, the child form fails to properly auto re-open from within a parent form. Instead, it appears to re-open a distinct child form that is disassociated with the original parent and first child entry. I've provide screen shots and some additional info here:

Please be aware that the Desktop Mode feature is currently under construction and is currently considered "Preview"/Beta.  You should not use this feature in "live" deployed apps.

If you are trying to resolve this issue for a "live" production app, I strongly recommend that you revert your app back to the legacy Desktop feature.  See where to locate this setting in the image below.

However, this bug should be reported on the Desktop Mode Community thread, if not already reported there.
