Can I add an SQl Datasource on a Core Plan for testing?

Is the above possible? Can I connect to an SQL Database source and built a prototype app on a Core plan to test sync speed difference?

Tried and getting an error. I have added all the IP addresses.

 

Failed to establish connection. Details: One or more SQL Server errors has been encountered: A network or connection configuration error occurred. Please verify that the connection parameters are correct and that the database firewall is configured to allow remote connections from AppSheet.

Yes, you can connect an undeployed app to a database.   

Double check login credentials, connection properties and configurations.  Note, that for some database providers, once you have updated them with the AppSheet IP's, it can take a while for the information to cycle into their servers.  How long depends on the provider.  They might tell you in their documentation.
