Cannot deploy on FREE plan?

My FREE plan apps were blocked today. I contacted Support and was told FREE plans cannot have any deployed apps, so I undeployed all 20 or so of my apps. I've routinely deployed my apps for my own use or for public templates for years. Has there been a policy change? Support said this policy has been in effect for a long time.

They should still work. I have the same situation, a lot of public apps and some personal apps and the free account is working just fine. What is the alert you are seeing?

In my case I have numerous documentation, notes, images, from the last 2-3 years, with multiple links to public apps as a learning base.

I have been sharing and using 63 applications in the factory for two years without exceeding the 10-person limit (all of them work together to get the job done). In the early months, I didnโ€™t know about this limit and shared them. As a result, I received a 3-day warning, and all the applications were deleted.

With the free subscription, the 10 users limit has been there for years and years.. almost from the beginning. If you haven't gone over that limit, the system should not send any warning. It sounds the reason has been something else or some the apps have been used for more than 10 users. I believe you mean that you deleted those apps, not the system.

Just deployed my Testing app with Free plan and no issues...

Support sent me a follow-up email correcting their earlier claim that users of public template apps count toward the user limit.

Their claim that deployed non-template apps require a paid plan still stands, though. @AleksiAlkio, can you explain?

The policy hasn't changed. With the Free subscription, you can deploy the app if:
- It's a personal app and you don't have more than 3 monthly users
- The app is a public sample

Thanks.

Although Scheduled bots stopped working for us for some reason that they just couldn't explain

When you have a Free subscription, the scheduled Bot never works (its not triggered by the schedule). It doesn't matter if the app is deployed or not. Though you can test it manually.

Yes, my bad.

Deployed apps are as useful as the owner's account plan.
When using them as Samples or Personal apps with a paid plan, the users for those apps are not counted for billing (unless you are over 3 users for Personal).

That's basically the hand of it, right?

Personal or public sample deployed apps are not counted when the system counts license usage.

Yep, precisely

The only apps I have deployed have been public samples on the free plan and paid for apps on subscription.

Good to see you're still around, @Lynn!

Been away for a while. Just trying to ease back in.  Good to see you back here.I havent been using bots so didnt need to deploy.

Yes, good to see @Lynn back as well as  @Steve also being back after a while.

Thanks @Suvrutt_Gurjar , always enjoy your helpful posts.

The king of templates @Lynn !

So many templates. Always trying to find the sweet spot between too simple and too complicated.
