Case Sensitive Searches

I am running a multilingual app, and users are also multilingual .  And all users have permission to add new products. Every user makes entries in a different way and I can not restrict users to making entries just for ENGLISH letters. The problem is that some items are don't seen in the search.  And also I realized that mobile and desktop search results are different for the exact same word. I shared all searches from mobile and desktop FYI.

I am noticing in your views that you have the Desktop Mode preview turned on.   Because Desktop Mode is preview only right now, you do not want to build live apps using it.

Any issues involving Desktop Mode should be reported, if not already, on the community thread below where AppSheet staff are monitoring for any issues they need to take into consideration:

Hi, Jhon thank you for your reply. I am aware that the desktop mode is still in preview mode. But it does not have a significant effect on my app at all. But the situation is weird about the title case. It seems like the desktop view works better in search. I am just asking if it would be possible to bring all the listed items by ignoring the case sensitiveness and the letters like " I , ı , İ , i " S ş Ş ş " etc.

Understood.  I just didn't want you to spend a lot of time on investigation and a workaround on some feature that may be many months away from becoming a reality if it was something you needed now in your app.

There is no way that I am aware of to force a case insensitive search.  What is interesting is that I just tested searching in Desktop Mode preview and seems to be case insensitive for me.  So...maybe it was fixed?  Or I wonder if it a language problem?

I believe, in my case, it is a language problem brought by the case sensitivity. It seems like they fixed it in desktop mode. It should work for the app also but it doesn't.

Please submit it to Appsheet Support.  If the problem is due to the language alphabet, then it is probably likely that others are impacted as well.
