I just tried to upload an animated gif to another thread, but the post editor converted the .gif file to a static .jpeg. Anybody else seeing this behavior?
They still display in old posts. Testing preview in this thread:
@Rafael_ANEIC-PY , your parrots broke the community.
I am but a mere member of the glorious cult of the parrot, all credit is due to the one who initiated me on the path of the parrot @MultiTech_Visions
Join the cult and party forever !
Hey my parrot broke
So thatโs what you meant @Marc_Dillon, should i contact support@appsheet.com?
EDIT: Itโs alive again ! party on my brothers
I had that happen to me too @Marc_Dillon
Letโs try somethingโฆ
hereโs a small sized gif (406 kb)
Hereโs a larger one (2.88 mb)
Seems itโs a size thingโฆ
So hereโs the same matrix one reduced to 1.4 mb
The gif I tried to upload earlier was only 803 kb.
Here is a gif that I had previously, and sucessfully, uploaded to another thread. It has now been converted to static jpeg, as all my other uploads do
@MultiTech_Visions are these hosted gif files that you posted, or did you upload local files?
I can still post hosted gifs. It is the uploaded local files that are being auto-converted.
EDIT: wait, maybe I canโt do that either, this is just acting real funny now.
That hurt
All of those gifs were uploaded from my computer. I have a large folder of awesome gifs.
Best
Matt
Damn. I guess Iโve just been ban-hammered.
Came late to the party
BTW, where this dancing AppSheet parrot came from? @Rafael_ANEIC-PY @MultiTech_Visions
I think Iโm gonna play with the API and create an app for it
Here it is
Guess what.. now it doesn't work in this community
I was able to add this using the HTML editor.
<img src="https://ppaas.herokuapp.com/partyparrot/mega?delay=51&overlay=https://d11a6trkgmumsb.cloudfront.net/original/3X/9/a/9af9456df3a40537038643d987ffcbd553ad3296.svg&overlayHeight=&overlayWidth=&overlayOffsetX=50&overlayOffsetY=0&overlayOffsetX=50">
I don't know if anyone would want to do all this to make it work
I tried just copying and pasting one of the parrots I posted in those threads, good times, lets see if it works:
You will add Dark Mode to the new forum
EDIT: apparently it works, btw I don't know if I'm replying to the current post or the old ones, this nested threading is nice, but how do I hide it?
Try with one made through my app or the https://parrotify.github.io/
