Hi, I'm building an App with Appshet and would like to use GCP Cloud SQL (MySQL) as my backend database. Our organizational policy does not allow us to use the Public IP. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

I don't believe there's a readily-available way to do this. The AppSheet app itself communicates with AppSheet servers, never with data sources directly. AppSheet servers then interact with the data sources, so this is where your need for a private IP address would come into play. I have a (very, very, very) vague recollection that AppSheet (may have) used to be able to accommodate non-public data sources, but that was pre-Google. I would expect that if Google provided this type of connectivity, it would be pricey and available only to select clients. If you have a Google rep, you should ask them about this.

Thanks, Steve. Our GCP support team has logged a ticket with AppSheet Support.
Thanks, Steve. I believe you are right that there is no readily available solution. Our Cloud support team has opened a case with Google on this subject. Fingers crossed.
I'm afraid there is no way to do this with private IPs.
Hi, were you able to find a solution here?
