Do I need a Google account to share and use AppSheet app on prototype stage?

I am prospecting AppSheet and trying to share an simple app with a single user. This user doesn't  have a Google account. When he is trying to install the app using the link that I've sent him by email, he is being asked for a Google account... It would be possible to use/test the app with a non-Google account? How?
