Enum and Enumlist image sizes

Can someone please verify my testing?

It appears that images used in conjunction with the Enum or Enumlist MUST be 112 x 112 pixels.

When I made one 150 x 112 it was truncated.  When I made one that was 112 x 50 it was enlarged.

I'd be happy to stay inside those dimensions, but I'd really like something more rectangular, like 112 x 50.

Thanks in advance for any insight anyone can bring.
