Error with latlong column in AppSheet Databases

I was trying to migrate a simple app to AppSheet Databases, and one of my tables uses a latlong column. However, when a record is created, the latlong data is stored without the dots.

Saved data: imagen_2024-08-07_152608088.png

So, basically, it doesn't work. I did a bit of research, and as far as I know, AppSheet Databases are not in the preview feature state anymore, unless I'm mistaken. However, I couldn't find a list of preview features that are still in development.

Is there a way to fix this?? I spent a couple of hours trying to migrate the database. ๐Ÿ˜ž

Why is this a problem?

Because on a map view, no data is shown as no correct latlong data is stored, because appsheed databases removes the dots.

Is the same problem as this thread: https://www.googlecloudcommunity.com/gc/AppSheet-Q-A/Appsheet-Database-issue-with-latlong-field/m-p/...

I was wondering if the AppSheet databases were still on preview state, if not, then unless i'm doing something wrong, i'm not being able to use latlong columns using AppSheet databases.

Last I heard, Database is in general release, so the behavior you're getting is a bug. Please contact AppSheet Support for help with this.

@CamiloV1 Were you able to resolve this? I have the same problem: The database saves the LatLong value without the dots. No pins are shown on the map view.

Here is the solution: In the Database we have to set the Table locale to "English (United States)". Then the LatLong will get saved with dots.

The table's Time Zone and the Data Locale in the AppSheet Table Settings can be set to any other.
