Filter initial dataset

I am losing my mind at how simple this should be.

I have a Google Sheet as my datasource.

A row is either included or excluded in further analysis according to pre-determined criteria. A column calculates this and dumps out its findings "Yes - [reason]" or "No - [reason]". 

For further analysis i've created a helper column that simplifies this even further to output "Yes" or "No".

Can I get my appsheet to only include the "Yes" rows at all? No. No i can't. I've tried setting the slice to [HelperColumn] = "Yes" then applying this view in the UX but to no avail. 

I don't know what the hell to do and i bet, i goddamn bet you, it's such a simple fix. Help me before I unceremoniously yeet my laptop through the window.

Please post a screenshot of the configuration of the slice.

Please also post a screenshot of the entire slice row filter expression.

Finally, please also post a screenshot of the configuration of the view.

Have you tried using the Test feature within Expression Assistant to test the row filter expression? What results do you get?

It says the result is valid and my understanding of the plain English in the Test feature is that the value of the column ([Eligibility]) must continain the text value "Yes".

Is there something fundamental i'm missing?

OK. So clicking 'Not Deployed' then 'Run Deployment Check' seems to update the preview pane. 

Frustarting that you have to effectively set the design to compile to get a working preview, however some elements alter as you go. I think this is resolved.
