Hello Appsheet,
I have one data source table I am using for a couple of views in my app. In the past in order to filter out information that I don’t want half of my users to see I have duplicated the data table and stripped away those columns that way I have two unique data tables pulling in. I would prefer to try to just have one data table to eliminate the extra sync time. Currently I just have the one data table and I have created a slice to eliminate displaying the extra columns I do not want them to see. Since these are pulling from the same data table I cannot create a security filter to prevent users from going to the other view that does have the columns. Is it possible to create the security filter on the data table that way it will filter columns out based on a user list with different permission indicators ?(see snip below)image|690x157
Steve I had actually already tried using just the show_if column constraint before I posted this and I couldn’t get the result I desired I do not know what difference I was making that made it ineffective. I ended up restricting the views of data I wanted hidden because it was all contained in the same gallery view, so I just threw a security filter on the gallery view itself.
Thank you for your response I appreciate that you are always quick to help
