Graph views for specific columns

While I have recently come to know that unfortunately as of now we cannot explicitly choose the X and Y axes of a graph, Ido have a very specific requirement to uniquely use x and y axes for the graph.

I tried making a slice from the main table, with just the columns that I want to have, still it showed up like previous.

Any way to make this work? Someone would be utterly devastated if theres no way.
