Help with Expression

I used this to mark a task from pending to completed 

[Status]=pending.

when I click that action it marks the task Completed. 
But I want to add if something it lift blank , then the task can’t be Completed. 
How can I write that?

Check out ISBLANK() and or ISNOTBLANK()
