How can I scan a 2D code within AppSheet?

Hello everyone,

I am currently building a simple application for scanning 2D QR codes available on devices within the company. The devices have QR codes already attached, generated from the asset management software. I want to utilize these codes for a small project.

I have tried using the default QR code scanner in AppSheet as well as integrating the Scandit integration, but neither can scan the 2D QR codes. However, when I use the Scandit app downloaded from the App Store, it can scan the 2D QR codes. Underneath is a demo of a 2D QR code.

Do any experienced individuals have any guidance on how to address this issue? Thank you.

Hello there,

When you try using the default scanner you'll see a button there for rotating the scan area, did you notice that? did you try it?

I had the same issue as you before, but then I noticed that after pressing that button then the app would be able to recognize the code.
