How to pwd protect the MENU button or alternately create a search bar when the MENU button is disabled?

I found there is a major need to disable the menu to limit users from existing the APP. For example, I want to dedicate a tablet to the warehouse, but I don’t the user to intentionally or unintentionally exit the APP. Currently, we can disable the Menu Button but once disabled, the search bar also disappears. The search bar is one of the most important features in the AppSheet UI in my opinion.

It is not possible to disable the main menu alone.

Seems like a very odd decision to me to group together the disabling of menu and search.

I would suggest you might want to add a feature request to allow search without hamburger menu. That way it’s “on the list” and can be voted for.

I also vote to leave the search bar without a hamburger menu. It’s a very unfortunate solution
