I have a app I want to make public and share the url..can I have a custom URL

I have a domain name and was hoping that domain could render my appsheet app. 

The URL for the app is not user friendly and I do not see how I would tell people were to go to find the web version of my app. I realize I could publish to the Apple app store (maybe?) But I would rather just say go to "xxxx.com".

There are services that can provide a short custom URL that they then re-direct to the target destination.  I don't know any off-hand.  Search for "custom URL's" or "shortened URL's".

One option is to create a sub domain and then forward it to your app URL. Then you can use something like app.domain.com for your app.
